Doctor Who: Series 1: Episode 6: Dalek

The Daleks Return...

The Doctor and Rose land in a museum but instead of human artifacts it is full of aliens artifacts like: Models of alien spaceships and another of the Doctor's oldest enemies.Soon they are captured by Henry Van Statten and his men and he wants to know why our heroes were there and what they were doing. Soon after Henry trusts the Doctor and Rose and dares the Doctor to go and see his 'Meltatron'! But we soon see it is a DALEK! During this confrontation we learn more of the Time War and what part the Daleks played and how the the Daleks and the Time Lords died...

Sadly, any mystery is spoiled  by the title and the 'Next time trailer'!   it was known the Daleks would return so trying keeping us guessing what the Meltatron looked like and how it kills but this again was ruined so that is one of the few bad points I have with this episode.

We also learn of the character of Adam (played by Bruno Langley) I think he works for this episode but when he joins the TARDIS he becomes very annoying character. Rose is very good within this episode until she lets the Dalek loose..

The Dalek uses her DNA to get loose and run (or roll) around the base! I like the idea of the stairs (Daleks could not get up stairs) but it proved us wrong which was very, very, very, very funny! We also see the actual Dalek creature not just the casing which is a really well made (or CGI) creature.

We also see the dark side of the Doctor and how he has been wanting revenge since the Daleks destroyed his home and family and we get to see the lighter side of DW as a show as well it's not just the aliens killed and The Doctor and Rose get on with there lives and the Dalek is set free. As for Henry Van Statten he finally gets a taste of his own medicine and he is fired! Great episode, two bad points so... 8/10! Till the next review... The Long Game.
